Ramadan Accommodations

  1. The rooms at Courtyard by Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn all have a mini fridge and microwave.
  2. Rooms for communal Maghrib prayer after breaking fast during Friday and Saturday evenings:
    1. Celebration Farm has a backroom
    2. The Heights Rooftop has a conference room adjacent to the main space 
  3. Dinner times:
    1. Dinner at Celebration Farm will be served at 8pm and is a casual, buffet-style meal.
    2. Dinner at the Heights Rooftop is plated. Salad will be served at the Heights Rooftop at 7:45pm but the main course will not be served until 8pm.
  4. A boxed lunch of Mediterranean veggie sandwiches and chips, yogurt parfaits (no gelatin), granola bars, and bottled water will be set out prior to departure for your hotels Saturday evening. Sunday lunch is boxed for everyone.

WiFi Options

EduRoam

When you are on the UI campus, eduroam provides the best experience for campus visitors. Since UI Wireless is part of the eduroam initiative, when students, faculty, and staff visit other academic institutions that utilize eduroam, they will automatically be connected to wireless internet without having to reenter their credentials. Please see your respective university's IT website below for information about eduroam access for your institution.

Guest WiFi

The University of Iowa also has free guest WiFi; although we recommend connecting to eduroam for more a more secure connection. To connect to the guest WiFi, select 'UI-Guest' from your WiFi options and agree to the terms and conditions.
